Prepare the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Once the beef is cooked, season it with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

Divide the seasoned beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, cook the patties on medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached.

In the last minute of cooking, place cheddar cheese slices on each patty to melt.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into wedges or cubes.

In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, stirring halfway through.
