Grilled Chayote Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chayote

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cut the chayotes in half lengthwise and remove the pit. Brush the cut sides with olive oil and sprinkle with jerk spice.

  2. 2

    Grill the Chayote

Place the chayote halves cut-side down on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes until charred and tender. Flip and grill for an additional 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Cilantro Aioli

In a food processor, combine cilantro, garlic, mayonnaise, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Serve

Once the chayotes are grilled, remove them from the grill. Serve with cilantro aioli drizzled on top and pickled habanadas on the side.
