Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, chopped fresh rosemary, black pepper, and salt. Whisk together until all ingredients are well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Steak
Place the hanger steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Grilling the Steak
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Remove Steak from Marinade
Take the marinated hanger steak out of the refrigerator and remove it from the marinade. Allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.
- 5
Grill the Steak
Place the hanger steak on the preheated grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer your steak more well done. Use a meat thermometer to check for your desired doneness (130-135°F for medium-rare).
