Labna Ingredients

Grape Leaves Ingredients

Method

Labna Preparation

  1. 1

    Strain the Yogurt

Place a cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour the plain yogurt into the cheesecloth. Sprinkle salt over the yogurt and fold the cheesecloth over the top. Let it drain in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to achieve a thick labna.

  2. 2

    Finish the Labna

After 24 hours, transfer the thickened labna to a serving bowl. Drizzle olive oil over the top and stir gently to combine. Set aside.

Grape Leaves Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Grape Leaves

Open the jar of canned grape leaves, and carefully remove the leaves. Rinse them under cold water to remove excess brine. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 4

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, pine nuts, chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Add pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. 5

    Stuff the Grape Leaves

Take a grape leaf and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling at the base of the leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly from the base to the tip. Repeat this process until all grape leaves are filled.

  4. 6

    Serve

Arrange the stuffed grape leaves on a serving platter alongside the labna. Serve with additional olive oil and lemon wedges, if desired.
