Boba Tea Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Tapioca Pearls

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of tapioca pearls and stir gently. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until the pearls become translucent and chewy. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tea

While the tapioca pearls are cooking, steep 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags) in 2 cups of hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea leaves or bags and stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Once the tapioca pearls are cooked, drain them and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. In a serving glass, add the cooked tapioca pearls, then pour in the prepared tea and add 1 cup of milk (or non-dairy milk).

  4. 4

    Serve

Add ice cubes to the glass and stir well. Serve with a wide straw to enjoy the chewy boba pearls!
