Preparation

1

Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the King Oyster mushrooms gently with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Trim the ends and slice them into 1/2 inch thick rounds.

2

Prepare the Aromatics

Mince the garlic cloves and chop the green onions finely, separating the green parts from the white parts.

Cooking

3

Sauté the Mushrooms

In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced King Oyster mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.

4

Add Flavorings

Stir in the minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

5

Add Sauces

Pour in the soy sauce and mirin, stirring well to coat the mushrooms evenly. Allow the mixture to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Finishing Touches

6

Garnish

Once the mushrooms are cooked through and the sauce has thickened, remove from heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chili flakes on top before serving.

7

Serve

Transfer the mushroom mixture to a serving dish, and garnish with the green parts of the chopped green onions. Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
