Mochi Donut Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth dough forms.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Shape the Donuts

Take small portions of the dough and shape them into rings (or use a donut cutter). Ensure they are thick enough to hold their shape.

  5. 5

    Fry the Donuts

Carefully drop the shaped donuts into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they turn golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. 6

    Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

Remove the donuts from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll the donuts in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until fully coated.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the mochi donuts warm and enjoy!
