Method

Nachos

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Base

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Add Beans and Corn

Drain and rinse the black beans, then scatter them over the tortilla chips. If using frozen corn, thaw it and add it to the chips as well.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Jalapeños

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chips, black beans, and corn. Add the sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake the Nachos

Drizzle the olive oil over the nachos and sprinkle with salt. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Guacamole

  1. 6

    Prepare the Avocados

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. 7

    Mash the Avocados

Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired consistency.

  3. 8

    Add Lime and Garlic

Add the lime juice and minced garlic to the mashed avocado, mixing well.

  4. 9

    Incorporate Vegetables

Fold in the diced tomato, finely chopped red onion, and chopped cilantro.

  5. 10

    Season the Guacamole

Add salt to taste and mix everything together until well combined.
