Prepare the Glass
Select a tall glass, preferably a highball or a collins glass. Fill it with ice cubes until about two-thirds full.

Add Tequila
Pour 2 oz of tequila over the ice in the prepared glass.

Add Orange Juice
Slowly pour 4 oz of fresh orange juice into the glass. Pour gently to avoid mixing the tequila with the juice too much.

Add Grenadine
Carefully drizzle 0.5 oz of grenadine syrup into the glass. It will sink to the bottom, creating a gradient effect.

Garnish the Drink
Top the cocktail with a slice of orange on the rim of the glass and place a maraschino cherry on top or in the drink for a finishing touch.
