Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Core and chop the apple into bite-sized pieces. If using whole berries, leave them whole.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced oranges, lemons, limes, chopped apple, and berries.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Add Liquids

Pour in the red wine and orange juice over the fruit mixture in the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.

  2. 4

    Sweeten the Mix

Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.

  3. 5

    Chill

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Sangria

Just before serving, add club soda or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher for a fizzy touch. Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice, making sure to include some fruit pieces in each glass.
