Corn Chips Preparation

Cut the Tortillas
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 equal wedges to form chips.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Fry the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla wedges to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.

Chop the Vegetables
Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, and garlic cloves. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Cilantro
Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the mixing bowl with the tomatoes, onion, and garlic.

Season the Salsa
Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
