Corn Chips

Salsa Gringa

Method

Corn Chips Preparation

  1. 1

    Cut the Tortillas

Cut each corn tortilla into 6 equal wedges to form chips.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chips

Carefully add the tortilla wedges to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 4

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.

Salsa Gringa Preparation

  1. 5

    Chop the Vegetables

Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, and garlic cloves. Place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 6

    Add Cilantro

Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the mixing bowl with the tomatoes, onion, and garlic.

  3. 7

    Season the Salsa

Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  4. 8

    Let it Rest

Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
