Churros
Method
Churros Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball. Let cool slightly.
- 2
Add Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Pipe the Churros
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Carefully pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length with scissors.
- 5
Fry the Churros
Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Dust with Cinnamon Sugar
In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the hot churros in the cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
