Brine and Wings
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Brine
In a large pot, combine water, minced garlic, brown sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
- 2
Brine the Wings
Once the brine is cool, add the chicken wings to the mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- 3
Bake the Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the wings from the brine and pat them dry with paper towels. Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 4
Coat with Sauce
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. In the last 10 minutes of baking, toss the wings in buffalo sauce to coat evenly.
- 5
Serve
Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and serve hot with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your choice of ranch or bleu cheese dressing.
