Pulled Pork

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pulled Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with BBQ rub, ensuring it is well coated. Place the pork in a slow cooker with apple cider vinegar, sliced onion, and minced garlic. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

  2. 2

    Make the FNG BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce thickens, about 15 minutes. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Spicy Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, and diced jalapeño. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Once the pork is cooked and shredded, mix it with the FNG BBQ sauce. Toast the Kaiser buns, then layer with pulled pork and top with spicy slaw and pickles. Serve immediately.
