Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Duck

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the duck under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the inside and outside of the duck with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, mix the juice of one orange, honey, soy sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, olive oil, and thyme.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Duck

Place the duck in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it. Cut the remaining orange into quarters and stuff them inside the duck’s cavity.

  4. 4

    Roast the Duck

Cover the duck with foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30-40 minutes, basting with the leftover marinade every 15 minutes, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Serve with your favorite sides.
