Cook the Fusilone
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fusilone pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.

Brown the Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through.

Add Tomatoes and Season
Stir in the crushed San Marzano tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fusilone to the skillet with the Bolognese sauce. Toss to combine and let it cook together for 2-3 minutes.

Serve the fusilone bolognese hot, topped with grated Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh basil.
