Prepare the Squid
Rinse the cleaned squid under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Make the Breading
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.

Coat the Squid
Dredge the squid rings and tentacles in the flour mixture until well-coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

Fry the Squid
Carefully add the coated squid to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
