Tartine Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Toast the Pine Nuts

In a skillet over medium heat, toast the pine nuts until golden brown, stirring frequently. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the Sweet Batard bread into 1-inch thick slices and brush both sides with olive oil.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Bake the Bread

Place the oiled bread slices on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

  2. 4

    Spread the Cheese

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spread a generous portion of Bellwether Farms Crescenza cheese on each slice.

  3. 5

Top with Honey and Pine Nuts

Drizzle the honey over the cheese, then sprinkle the toasted pine nuts and fresh thyme leaves on top. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Warm

Serve the tartines warm, garnished with additional thyme if desired.
