Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the beef tenderloin generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Beef

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef tenderloin and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

  3. 3

    Roast the Beef

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the beef for 20-25 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (130°F for medium-rare).

  4. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

While the beef is roasting, in a separate pan, sauté the sliced bell pepper and cippolini onions in a bit of olive oil over medium heat until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once the beef is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the sliced beef with the sautéed vegetables and drizzle with zhoug sauce.
