Cooking Instructions
- 1
Rinse the Rice
Place the jasmine rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse it under cold running water until the water runs clear, about 2-3 minutes. This helps remove excess starch.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed jasmine rice, water, and salt.
- 3
Bring to a Boil
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 4
Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- 5
Let it Rest
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to allow the rice to steam.
- 6
Fluff and Serve
Use a fork to fluff the rice gently before serving.
