Flatbread

Method

Flatbread Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Flatbread

Brush each piece of flatbread with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make Roux

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the flour, cooking for about 1 minute to form a roux.

  2. 4

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted. Season with salt and black pepper.

Steak and Toppings Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Steak

Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove and let rest.

  2. 7

    Caramelize the Onions

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook over medium heat until soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.

  3. 8

    Slice the Steak

Once the steak has rested, slice it thinly against the grain.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Dish

Place the prepared flatbread on a baking sheet. Spread a layer of cheese sauce on each flatbread, then top with the sliced steak, caramelized onions, and sprinkle the mozzarella and provolone cheeses on top.

  2. 10

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  3. 11

    Finish and Serve

Remove from the oven, drizzle with horseradish sauce, and garnish with chopped parsley. Cut into slices and serve warm.
