Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauce (Optional)
Method
Prepare the Chicken
- 1
Cut the Chicken
Trim the chicken breasts of any excess fat and cut them into strips about 1-2 inches wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the almond flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in the third.
Bread the Chicken
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and first coat it in the almond flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the cornstarch mixture. Make sure the chicken is well coated in each step.
Cook the Chicken
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, transfer the chicken tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Prepare Dipping Sauce
- 7
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine honey, mustard, ketchup, and hot sauce to create your dipping sauce. Adjust the flavors to your liking.
