Cauliflower

Sriracha Ranch Dipping Sauce

Method

Prepare the Cauliflower

  1. 1

    Cut the Cauliflower

Remove the leaves from the cauliflower head and cut it into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are roughly equal in size for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Fry the Cauliflower

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or a pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small amount of batter into it; if it sizzles, it's ready.

  2. 4

    Coat the Cauliflower

Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip off before carefully placing it into the hot oil.

  3. 5

    Fry the Cauliflower

Fry the cauliflower in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Use a slotted spoon to remove the florets and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce

  1. 6

    Mix the Sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, Sriracha sauce, garlic powder, and dried dill. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 7

    Season the Sauce

Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the spiciness by adding more Sriracha if desired.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Arrange the crispy cauliflower florets on a serving platter and serve hot with the Sriracha ranch dipping sauce on the side.
