Brownie Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

Mix Sugars
Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Mix to Form Batter
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

Bake Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting them into squares.
Assembling the Sundae

Take serving bowls and place a warm brownie square in each bowl.

Top each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Drizzle Hot Fudge
Generously drizzle hot fudge sauce over the ice cream.

Add whipped cream on top and place a cherry on each sundae for garnish.
