Burger Preparation
- 1
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, take the ground beef and season it with salt and black pepper to taste. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the buns.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip them over, place a slice of American cheese on each patty, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
