Method

Dip Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Spinach

Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.

  3. 3

    Combine Creamy Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and shredded white cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Mix Everything Together

Add the sautéed spinach mixture to the bowl with the cream cheese mixture. Stir until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  5. 5

    Bake the Dip

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Crostini Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Baguette Slices

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 7

    Brush with Olive Oil

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder.

  3. 8

    Toast the Crostini

Toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
