Preparation of Cheeses and Meats
- 1
Prepare the Cheeses
Cut the Brie cheese into wedges, the aged cheddar into thin slices, and crumble the Gorgonzola cheese into small pieces.
- 2
Prepare the Cured Meats
Arrange the salami, prosciutto, and chorizo on a platter, folding or rolling them for a nice presentation.
Fruits and Nuts
- 3
Prepare the Fruits
Wash the fresh figs and grapes. If using larger figs, cut them in half. Arrange them on the platter.
- 4
Add the Nuts
Place the walnuts in a small bowl or scatter them directly onto the platter around the fruits and cheeses.
Jams and Spreads
- 5
Add the Jams
Spoon the fig jam, honey, and spicy mustard into small bowls and place them on the charcuterie board for easy access.
Crostini

Prepare the Crostini
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- 7
Toast the Crostini
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush each slice with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8
Add Garlic
Once toasted, rub the garlic clove over the warm crostini for added flavor.
Assembly
- 9
Assemble the Board
On a large wooden board or platter, artfully arrange the cheeses, cured meats, fruits, nuts, jams, and crostini. Ensure a variety of colors and textures for an appealing presentation.
