Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Cheese and Milk
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Then add the milk gradually, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Shape and Bake
Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

While the biscuits are baking, lower the oven temperature to 400°F (204°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
