Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into an 8oz patty. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

House Made Pickles

  1. 3

    Slice the Cucumbers

Thinly slice the cucumbers and set aside.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Pickling Brine

In a medium saucepan, combine white vinegar, sugar, salt, and dill. Heat over medium until sugar and salt dissolve.

  3. 5

    Pickle the Cucumbers

Pour the hot brine over the sliced cucumbers in a jar. Let them cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.

Bacon Jam Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Onion

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion to the bacon grease and sauté until soft and translucent.

  3. 8

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked bacon, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to the onions. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.

  4. 9

    Blend the Jam

Transfer the mixture to a blender and pulse until desired consistency is reached. Set aside.

Burger Assembly

  1. 10

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Place white cheddar cheese on top during the last minute to melt.

  2. 11

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the potato buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 12

    Assemble the Burger

Spread 8595 sauce on the bottom bun, add the lettuce, then the burger patty with melted cheese, bacon jam, house-made pickles, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

House-Cut Fries

  1. 13

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 14

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 15

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 16

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle the hot fries with salt to taste.
