Method
Directions to Prepare Hit Different
- 1
Prepare the Bread Pudding
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the Cuban bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, gently fold to ensure all bread is coated, and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes to absorb.
- 4
Bake
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 5
Make the Cream Cheese Icing
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until the icing is creamy and smooth.
- 6
Serve
Once the bread pudding is done baking, allow it to cool slightly before drizzling the cream cheese icing on top. Serve warm.
