Method

Preparation

1

Cook the Octopus

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until tender. Remove from water and let cool.

2

Prepare the Potatoes

While the octopus is cooking, peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

3

Mix the Dressing

In a bowl, combine the mustard with a splash of the octopus cooking water to create a dressing. Adjust seasoning to taste.

4

Prepare the Grapes and Onions

Halve the grapes and slice the pickled onions thinly.

Assembly

5

Combine Ingredients

Slice the cooled octopus into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, combine the octopus, potatoes, grapes, pickled onions, and caper berries.

6

Dress the Salad

Drizzle the mustard dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine everything evenly.

7

Serve

Transfer the salad to a serving platter and enjoy immediately, or chill for 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.
