Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Ribeye

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, Korean chili flakes, and minced black garlic. Marinate the ribeye steaks in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the cabbage and bok choy into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Ribeye

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated ribeye steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little sesame oil and sauté the cabbage and bok choy until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Add the kimchi and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  3. 5

    Make the Jus

In a saucepan, combine beef stock and red wine. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer until slightly thickened, about 10-15 minutes.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Slice the grilled ribeye and serve it over the sautéed vegetables. Drizzle the jus over the top and garnish with additional sesame seeds if desired.
