Preparing the Wings

Clean and Dry the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Season the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the wings with salt, black pepper, and olive oil until evenly coated.
Cooking the Wings

Bake the Wings
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Preparing the Sauce or Dry Rub

Make the Wing Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Stir until well combined and heated through.

Prepare the Dry Rub
In a small bowl, combine black pepper, salt, garlic powder, paprika, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Mix well.
Tossing the Wings

Toss with Sauce or Dry Rub
Once the wings are cooked, place them in a large bowl. If you are using the wing sauce, pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat. For the dry rub, sprinkle it over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
Serving

Serve the Wings
Transfer the wings to a serving platter. Serve hot with celery sticks and your choice of dipping sauces such as ranch or blue cheese.
