Prepare the Proteins
- 1
Cook Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound of ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess grease.

Prepare Shredded Chicken
If using pre-cooked shredded chicken, simply warm it up in a saucepan over medium heat. If using raw chicken, boil chicken breasts in a pot of water until fully cooked, then shred with forks.
- 3
Heat Black Beans
Open the can of black beans and heat in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare Tacos
- 4
Warm Taco Shells
Warm the soft flour tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable. For crispy corn taco shells, bake according to package instructions until golden.

Set Up Taco Station
Arrange the warm taco shells on a large platter. Place the prepared proteins in separate bowls and arrange all the toppings (shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and sliced jalapeños) in small bowls for easy access.
