Steak Marinade
Burrito Fillings
Method
Marinating the Steak
- 1
- 2
Marinate the steak
Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cooking the Steak
- 3
- 4
Rest the steak
Once cooked, transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing, to allow the juices to redistribute.
Assembling the Burritos
- 5
Slice the steak
Thinly slice the grilled steak against the grain.
- 6
Prepare the tortillas
Warm the large flour tortillas in a dry skillet or the microwave for about 10-15 seconds to make them more pliable.
- 7
Fill the tortillas
On each tortilla, layer a scoop of cooked rice, a scoop of black beans, a portion of sliced steak, pico de gallo salsa, guacamole, queso, and sour cream.
- 8
Roll the burritos
Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
Serving
- 9
Serve the burritos
Cut each burrito in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra salsa or toppings on the side.
