Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Protein

Choose your protein from grilled chicken, ground beef, tofu, or shrimp. Cook the protein of your choice as follows: Grilled Chicken: Grill for 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Ground Beef: Brown in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Tofu: Pan-fry in olive oil for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden. Shrimp: Sauté in a skillet for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

Choose your type of rice (white, brown, or cauliflower). For white or brown rice: Rinse and cook according to package instructions. For cauliflower rice: Sauté in a skillet with a little olive oil for 3-4 minutes until tender.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Beans

Choose black or pinto beans. If using canned beans, drain and rinse them. Heat in a saucepan over medium heat for about 5 minutes until warmed through.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Salsas

Choose one or more of the salsas (Pico de Gallo, Corn Salsa, Mango Salsa). If using store-bought salsas, simply place them in separate bowls. If making fresh, chop tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and mango for the respective salsas and mix in a bowl.

  5. 5

    Mix the Sauces

Choose one or more sauces (Chipotle Sauce, Creamy Cilantro Sauce, BBQ Sauce). Prepare them in small bowls for easy serving.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble Your Bowl

In a large bowl, start with a base of your chosen rice. Layer the protein on top, followed by the beans. Add your selected salsas and sauces. Top it off with your choice of toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, and sliced jalapeños.

  2. 7

    Add the Extras

Finally, add guacamole and queso on top of your bowl for that extra flavor and creaminess.
