Method
Brownie Batter Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix in Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate and butter mixture with granulated sugar. Mix well. Then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool the Brownies
Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then, lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on the wire rack.
