Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower. Cut it into florets and steam until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
- 3
Create the Crust Mixture
In a food processor, pulse the steamed cauliflower until it resembles rice. Transfer it to a clean kitchen towel and wring out excess moisture. In a bowl, combine the cauliflower, egg, mozzarella cheese, almond flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Form the Crust
Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined pizza stone or baking sheet, shaping it into a 10-inch round crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Add the Sauce
Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven and spread the red sauce evenly over the top of the crust.
- 6
Add Cheese and Toppings
Sprinkle the smoked Provolone and pepper jack cheeses over the sauce. Then, add the jalapeños and plant-based sausage evenly across the pizza.
- 7
Finish with Crushed Red Pepper
Sprinkle crushed red pepper over the top to taste.
- 8
Final Bake
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
