Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the cauliflower
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower and cut it into florets. Steam the florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Make the cauliflower crust
Once steamed, let the cauliflower cool slightly, then pulse it in a food processor until it resembles rice. Transfer to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- 3
Combine ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower rice, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Shape the crust
Line a 10-inch pizza pan with parchment paper. Transfer the cauliflower mixture to the pan and press it down firmly to form an even crust.
- 5
Bake the crust
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until it is golden brown and firm to the touch.
Topping Application
- 6
Add sauce
Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven. Spread the red pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
- 7
Add cheese
Sprinkle the smoked Provolone cheese over the red sauce, ensuring even coverage.
- 8
- 9
Final bake
Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 10
Cool and serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
