Preparation of Bread

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Chop Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, dice the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place in a mixing bowl.

Chop Basil and Garlic
Finely chop the fresh basil leaves and mince the garlic cloves. Add both to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mix Ingredients
Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined.
Assembly

Top the Bread
Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously onto each slice of toasted baguette.

Serve Immediately
Serve the bruschetta immediately as an appetizer or snack while the bread is still warm.
