Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1 inch in size.
- 2
Make Coating
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- 3
- 4
Coat Chicken
Dip each piece of chicken in the wet mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the dry mixture. Set aside on a plate.
Frying Preparation
- 5
Heat Oil
In a large deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 7
Drain Chicken
Using a slotted spoon, remove the cooked chicken from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Saucing
- 8
Toss in Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, add the fried chicken pieces and pour your choice of signature wing sauce over them. Toss well until all pieces are evenly coated.
