Dough and Filling

Method

Preparation and Baking

1

Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm and butter is melted. Let it cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

2

Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

3

Prepare the Filling

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.

4

Roll and Fill

Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 12x18 inches). Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly. Scatter the seasonal fruit on top.

5

Shape the Rolls

Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased cast-iron skillet.

6

Second Rise

Cover the skillet with a towel and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.

7

Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

8

Serve

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
