Bronzed Sesame Salmon

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium pot, combine the Carolina Gold rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Shoyu Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the shoyu glaze and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Kale

While the salmon is baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Add chopped kale, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the kale is wilted and tender.

  5. 5

    Serve

To serve, place a scoop of Carolina Gold rice on each plate, top with the bronzed sesame salmon, and a side of sautéed kale.
