Method

Flourless Chocolate Cake

1

Melt Chocolate and Butter

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together until smooth.

2

Mix Ingredients

Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.

3

Bake

Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until set. Let cool before serving.

Sour Cream Ice Cream

4

Prepare Ice Cream Base

In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth.

5

Chill and Churn

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Then, churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

6

Freeze

Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

Drunken Cherries

7

Prepare Cherries

In a saucepan, combine fresh pitted cherries, bourbon, granulated sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

8

Cook

Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes until the cherries soften and the liquid reduces slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.
