Cooking Instructions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Bacon
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain. Once cooled, crumble into pieces.
Cook the Chicken
In the same skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and blackened. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, add chopped red bell pepper and broccoli. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Make the Cajun Cream Sauce
Add the heavy cream to the skillet with the vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Combine Ingredients
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce and vegetables. Toss to coat evenly. Slice the chicken and place on top of the pasta. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and serve.
