Method

Cooking the Sauce

    Prepare the Vegetables

    Finely chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic.

    Cook the Meat

    In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened. Add the ground beef and pork, cooking until browned.

    Add Tomatoes and Simmer

    Add the San Marzano tomatoes, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper to the pan. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Finish with Basil

    Tear the fresh basil leaves and stir them into the sauce. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Cooking the Spaghetti

    Boil the Pasta

    In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Garlic Baguette

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

    Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley, cooking for a minute until fragrant.

    Toast the Baguette

    Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and brush the garlic butter on each half. Place under the broiler until golden and crispy.

Serving

    Plate the Dish

    Serve the spaghetti topped with the Bolognese sauce and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve the garlic baguette on the side.
