Bolognese Sauce

Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Add Meat
Add ground pork and ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned and fully cooked.

Add Tomatoes
Stir in the San Marzano tomatoes, breaking them up with a spoon. Season with salt and black pepper.

Simmer
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add Basil
Stir in fresh basil in the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Finish
Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Cook Rigatoni
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Garlic Bread

Prepare Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic powder and chopped parsley.

Toast
Place the baguette on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve

Serve the Bolognese sauce over the rigatoni and enjoy with garlic bread on the side.
