Salad Preparation

Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into cubes and toss with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then crumble into pieces.

Prepare the Capers
In the same skillet, add the capers and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, crumbled bacon, crispy capers, and grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with lemon juice, and season with additional salt and black pepper to taste.

Toss the salad gently to combine all ingredients and serve immediately.
