Preparation

1

Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Rinse the pork spare ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary.

2

Apply the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Cooking

3

Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover the ribs tightly with more aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.

4

Prepare the Sauce

While the ribs are baking, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a bowl. Set aside.

5

Glaze and Grill

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce mixture generously over the ribs. Preheat a grill or broiler and cook the ribs for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning and basting with sauce until caramelized.

Serving

6

Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut between the bones and serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
