Method
Tzatziki Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Cucumber
Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Squeeze the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until fully combined.
- 3
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 4
Prepare the Pita
While the tzatziki is chilling, you can prepare the pita. If you prefer, you can warm the pita bread in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- 5
Serve
Serve the chilled tzatziki dip with warm or toasted pita bread on the side.
